The Indian Squash player nailed her first venture for India in the Asian Junior 2012 and completed in 5th position. Ranked No.5th in the Nationals she has bagged gold medal at Junior Nationals and bronze medal at Asian Junior Individual Championship. In the near future years, she wants to be known as the best squash coach and asserts that she would produce the best players.

Area of your game you need to improve?

Never stop learning. This is what I follow in my life, learn new ways to improve your skills so that the World gets to know about you.

Initial hurdles you faced and how did you tackle them?

There are so many hurdles for every player in his/her life. Few of them would be parents and coaches pressure and discrimination. Still every athlete will know how to tackle up all those hurdles in front of them and that’s how we achieve our goals.

Perks of being an athlete

Being an athlete will bring you all sorts of fame, fortune and fans. But being an athlete, it will not bring you to the World that everyone gets to know you but the athlete himself/herself can build their own personality. I have learnt so many things like self-confidence, self-motivation.

One habit that you want to break or you have broken?

An athlete will have to maintain a proper diet but I always follow an improper dieting that can lead to different problems. But now I always stick on to the idea of being physically fit by following proper diets.

What drives you to go for training every day?

Each and every day is blessed by god and he might have something for me. So, it gives me enthusiasm and energy which drives me to the next day of training.

Any rituals you follow

I do not follow any post-match ritual but I do follow some pre-match rituals one of them is to wear Lucy dress so that I am not pulled down by any sort of external hurdles.

Are you enjoying the process of sport or are you worrying about the outcomes?

Yes, I enjoy my sport very much. It gives me more energy for my day. It will in a way boost up my energy and my day.

The most unfair game you have played

I have never played an unfair game but there are so much of misunderstandings that can creep into the game.

It would be Usian Bolt and I will learn all his secrets for his awesome talent to be the fastest man in the world.

One match that you are very proud of

I am really proud of my every win and at the same time the matches that I have lost also helps me. Mistakes make a human perfect. With the lost match, I learnt which all areas I should focus.

Lamest excuse you have ever given to your teacher?

Honestly, I have not given a single excuse to my coach and I always try to admit my mistakes and correct them.

What does it mean to you to represent India?

To represent one’s own country makes you feel greater. To represent India is like a dream come true. It will make me feel so proud and uplifted.

Your ultimate achievement?

I wanted to be known as the best Squash player in the world. Moreover, I want to strive really hard to bag medals for my country and to see the flag flying high which makes an athlete feel that he/she has done complete justice to her field.

Best sports movie ever. Why?

The best sports movie that I have watched in my life is DANGAL because it describes how hard it is for the parents to make their children strive high. Another attribute is that the strong understanding between dad and his girls.

Your Goals

My short-term goal is to win Asian Junior medal and My long-term goal is to be the best squash player that no one forgets in their life.

What is the scariest experience you have ever had?

The scariest experience in my life is that once in home I had slipped from the stairs and rolled down several times.

Your most embarrassing moment

All my victory makes me feel more embarrassed and I am very proud of it.

One super power you wish you had?

I wish to be super-fast, so I can play all my shorts fast and accurate. I would wish for that power so that I can win all the matches I play.

Greatest Indian athlete of all time?

I think M S Dhoni is the greatest Indian athlete of all time.

Through his life every Indian knows how hard is to compete in this world for one who follows his/her passion. My favorite athlete is Usian Bolt.
